Go Green Cement Blanket | Flexible Geosynthetic Concrete Composite Material

Product Overview

Go Green cement blanket (also known as flexible concrete blanket) is an innovative geosynthetic composite construction material, built with three integrated functional layers: geotextile fabric base layer, dry concrete structural layer, and high-strength fiber reinforcement layer.
This cement-impregnated geotextile blanket activates quickly once exposed to water; the internal concrete powder undergoes rapid hydration to form a high-strength, fully impermeable concrete liner. Combining the flexible conformability of industrial textiles and the long-term durability of poured concrete, Go Green cement blanket acts as a high-efficiency replacement for traditional on-site concrete construction. It is widely adopted for water conservancy anti-seepage projects, municipal infrastructure reinforcement, environmental slope protection, flood control, and emergency repair engineering.

Three-Layer Structural Composition of Go Green Cement Blanket

Our cement blanket adopts a stable three-layer integrated structure, including upper protective geotextile layer, middle dry concrete powder core layer, and bottom water-locking reinforcement woven geotextile layer.

1. Upper Layer: Water Absorption & Surface Protection Geotextile

This top layer is needle-punched geotextile manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fibers, polypropylene (PP) fibers, or polyester staple fibers. As the outermost surface of the cement blanket, the needle-punched geotextile takes charge of rapid water absorption and outer structural protection during hydration and service life.

2. Middle Layer: Dry Concrete Powder Core Layer

The core layer of the cement blanket is filled with specially customized dry concrete mix. After water penetration triggers hydration, the concrete powder hardens progressively: the cement blanket reaches over 70% of its ultimate compressive strength within 24 hours, and achieves full stable optimal structural strength after 28 days of natural curing.

3. Lower Layer: Water Retention & Structural Reinforcement Woven Geotextile

The bottom reinforcement layer is slit-film woven geotextile or flat-yarn woven geotextile, produced with HDPE or PP raw materials. This woven geotextile base locks internal moisture evenly for complete hydration, and delivers continuous structural reinforcement to enhance the overall tensile strength of the concrete blanket.

Concrete Canvas Concrete Canvas

The geotextile fabric base layer acts as a durable protective barrier for cement blanket products. It fully shields the internal dry concrete mix to achieve thorough hydration, and preserves the overall structural integrity of the concrete canvas under long-term wind erosion and UV sunlight exposure.

The concrete structural core layer is precisely blended with premium high-strength cement, quartz sand and specialized curing additives. After hydration takes place, it solidifies into rigid high-strength concrete that delivers reliable heavy-load structural support, paired with superior impermeability and stable long-term curing performance.

Furthermore, the high-tensile reinforcement layer is woven with elastic high-strength polyester fiber. This layer features remarkable tensile performance, flexible elasticity, plus strong resistance against corrosion, acid, alkali and aging. In all hydraulic and civil engineering projects, it provides vital structural reinforcement, suppresses concrete cracking and greatly boosts the overall tensile resistance of the cement blanket.

Core Performance Features

1. High Strength and Durability:

  • Compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa, freeze-thaw resistance ≥ 50 cycles, suitable for  environments ranging from -5°C to 50°C.

  • UV-resistant and resistant to acid and alkali corrosion (pH 3-12), with a lifespan exceeding  20 years (without external damage).

2. Multifunctional Protection:

  •  Waterproof & Impermeable: The HDPE/PP liner structure provides effective seepage  prevention and waterproofing.

  • Erosion Resistantance: Suitable for applications exposed to water flow impact, such as rivers, canals, and coastal embankments.

3. Flexibility & Adaptability:

  • Can bend and conform to complex terrains such as trenches and vertical surfaces, and supports  double-curved surface designs.

Cement Blanket Features and Advantages

  1. Simple and Fast Construction: The construction process is straightforward and quick, requiring only basic compaction and leveling of the site. Construction can even proceed during the rainy  season. Compared to traditional concrete pouring, cement blankets can save 50%-70% on labor  and machinery costs and reduce the construction time by approximately 50%.

  2. Acid and Alkali Resistance: The product is resistant to both acid and alkali, making it suitable  for a wide range of environmental conditions and various engineering projects.

  3. Long Lifespan: Typically, the lifespan is 20-30 years. With special treatments, the service life  can be extended up to 50 years.

  4. Variety of Types: Cement blanket can be produced in various types, including permeable,  reinforced, lightweight, flame-retardant, and multifunctional composite options, providing high quality products and services for different engineering requirements and application scenarios.

  5. Aesthetic & Eco-Friendly: The color of the cement blanket can be customized, allowing the  project to be integrated into landscape designs, reflecting the concept of environmental  sustainability and blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings.

Construction

The cement blanket can be laid either manually or using machinery. It should generally be installed from  top to bottom in a longitudinal direction.

During the installation process, it is important to ensure that the overlap width is controlled within 15 cm  and use double-sided tape for bonding.

Additionally, the longitudinal seams, the joint between the cement blanket and the slope, as well as the transverse edges, should all be anchored to ensure the safety and  stability of the construction.

Note: For seam treatment of the cement blanket, you can use double-sided tape (5 cm in width), mortar, or  screws for connection to ensure a secure joint. The fixation of the cement blanket to the slope can be  achieved by using U-shaped nails, expansion screws, or anchor rods, depending on the slope structure.

After the installation, it is essential to promptly apply water curing to the cement blanket, ensuring an  even and thorough spray. A second curing treatment should be performed within 24 to 48 hours to ensure  optimal hardening of the cement blanket.
