How to Apply Color Polymer Slurry Mixture

Step 1: Prepare the Pavement Surface

For asphalt substrates, remove floating dust, dirt, and loose materials from the surface.

For concrete substrates, mechanically mill or prepare the surface to remove laitance and create an appropriate surface texture. Clean the surface thoroughly before application.

For concrete substrates, Go Green recommends applying an interface agent after surface preparation. The reference application dosage is approximately 0.2 kg/m².

Step 2: Mix the Two Components

Color Polymer Slurry Mixture is a two-component system.

Mix the main agent and curing agent at the specified ratio:

Main Agent : Curing Agent = 25 : 1

Add the curing agent into the main agent and mix thoroughly for approximately 30 seconds.

Once the material has been mixed, it should be used within approximately 1 hour. Do not use material after it has started to gel.

Step 3: Check the Surface Temperature

Before application, check the pavement surface temperature.

The surface temperature should be:

Below 45°C

Avoid construction during unsuitable weather conditions, especially rainy conditions.

Step 4: Apply the First Coat

Spread and scrape the prepared Color Polymer Slurry Mixture evenly over the pavement surface.

Ensure that the material is distributed uniformly and that the required coverage is achieved.

Step 5: Apply the Second Coat

Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 3 hours before applying the second coat, depending on actual site conditions.

The reference total dosage for two coats is approximately:

3.5 kg/m²

Step 6: Allow the Surface to Cure

After construction, allow the treated pavement to cure before opening it to traffic.

The typical curing period is approximately 4–12 hours, depending on temperature and site conditions.
